LIFE IS NOT OURS!–recalling through Tibetan tears.

 ·         What life is not ours?
About more than decade ago, A white papers (later published as a book) came to be printed out on CHT (Chittagong Hill Tracts, my home). It was about the human rights of the peoples of Chittagong Hill Tracts, home of the 11 groups of ethnic peoples. The report book appeared with a right title: LIFE IS NOT OURS. Human rights defenders made it happened in spite of many challenges.

There is normally no point of asking why they make hell down this Green CHT!!
Sita Pahar (hill), Chingmrong, Kapatai, Rangamati, Bangladesh.
There had been a continuous number of red reports of oppression on indigenous peoples live in CHT by name of security. Especially the red reports were against Bangladesh military. I must claim as I know the reports were not wrong. There were very few number of peoples who could escape of  the oppression. I know the pain of this kind of job. I, like many others risked entire student life just voicing up to stop the suppression and give us the right human rights. Now, change has been occurred. Way of lacking rights is termed in separate way. Situation somehow been diverted to say it seems better than the insurgency time. All the indigenous guerrilla fighters gunned down followed by a pact treated by government & PCJSS. It was the remark of in the year 1997. Afterwards, UNESCO peace award so far been pocketed by the then prime minister of Bangladesh. Literally, we don’t have an insurgency now, though there are lots question as the major points of the treaty yet to be fulfilled. Root of the pain has not removed. Somehow the fighting continues.

I sometime think of the topic with, ahh, what kind of human the ruling peoples are!!
Don’t they have a human heart??

·         What life is not for Tibetans?
Someday of very recent time, my wheels got traveling Tibet. The land of snow, some people say, Roof of the World. Needless to speak out, it is a great land with unique landscape, peoples, stupas, unique architectural infrastructure and the feature of all high altitude ecosystem and geography. It was about my dream came into true.

Thanks dear NYIMA who helped me out all thru the plan and making the trip is happened.

When you visit, you will just see all the wonders of a land of great landscape with tallest mountains and glaciers. Big and small streams downing at the foot of your eyes to feed the rarely found  little greeny veges around the valleys. What is not there to make your eyeballs get bigger enough!!

Driving the spectaculous high passes thru is just amazing. Your chest becomes full of many colors of beauty of life. I just got poking to Mr Zach, my companion, ei Zach, look ..man.. just WOW. It was small but all the great word to have all expressed out my feelings. It is a must say that the Tibetans, as people who live in the high range places, everywhere are just lovely. They are simply with beautiful mind.
Amidst all, presence of huge number of the military or police checkpoints everywhere was reminding me the time of the worse in my land. All the outposts and way of checking the peoples shown me the way back I lived during the insurgency in CHT. But why!!

I guess, my reading about power politics (my honors graduation sub: Politics) is true. Once, 700 hundred years back, Nicollo Mechiavelli  told (in his prominent book –‘Prince’), ‘Man is by nature greedy for power and wealth.’ He/they just want to control the power because of ………….. /I don’t know, you know the right words than me!!

I have never heard about any angry activities of Tibetan towards giant Chinese gunmen. Yes, Tibetan are peace loving peoples. They never hurt for own interest. Rather they hurt themselves.
I just don’t want to make a political opinion. After all, Chaina is not my country. There something stroke me more than a lot to say. I learned there are peoples who don’t have a Passport though they have national ID !! I Also learned, there is no issuance of it the biggest stuff of travelling and recognizing one’s citizenship. Just astonishing!! Above all, Tibetans are living peacefully, without harming others. Besides, Just got to learn another Immolation story here telling out (as per newswebsite):

‘’ A young Tibetan monk Tsering Gyal, a 20-year-old, from Akyong monastery has set himself on fire in Golog Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture (incorporated into China’s Qinghai province) on Monday (11 Nov ‘13) to protest against the repressive policies of the Chinese government in Tibet ‘’- www.tibetnet/CTA website.

There is a report so far I have crossed over CTA web., not sure though, claim is since year 2009 till now, the Tibetan monks' immolation number has reached more than 200!! just terrible!

The heavenly beautiful land is now with full of many unspoken stories of agony and pain!! Do we claim we are human .. do we feel a pain?
No, we have become feelingless!! we feel no pain!!!!
This is just a phrase I must recall here, LIFE IS NOT OURS.
Question is, – who will sweep out the tears of peace loving Tibetans? How …when?
